POSITION SUMMARY

Under general supervision of the General Manager and management staff, performs general duties to assist in the smooth operation of organizing patrons on the golf course and in the golf pro shop.

The Starter position will require the employee to help in many facets of the operation, from picking the range to marshaling the golf course.

The Starter's main function, along with the Professional staff, is to make sure the overall golf operation runs smoothly each and every day.

This job cultivates the first impression of the golf course operation with our customers. This position requires a punctual and customer service oriented attitude.

The position will require 6-8 hours of operating both a point of sale system, phone system, GPS tracking system among other retail responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Process customer transactions. Credit card and gift card and check are our payment methods. Including refunds, returns and rain checks within the golf course policy.
• Answering phone calls, making tee times and answering questions related to the operation.
• Monitor the pace of play of the golf course.
• Coordinate with other staff members on the day to day checklist and accomplish tasks.
• Using best judgment to accommodate customer complaints and difficult situations.
• Restocking merchandise in the pro-shop throughout the day. Keeping track of low inventory, questions, concerns and recommendations on retail merchandise.
• Become accustomed to answering customer questions on clubs, balls, pricing and overall retail operations.
• Clean and organize all areas of the immediate workspace.
• Clean, dust, sweep and mop the interior pro shop, including the restrooms and downstairs.
• Oversee the cart attendant and outside services employees during that shift.
• Complete each day's task list along with other employees.
• Duties may include daily tasks normally assigned to cart attendant, on-course attendant, event center or professional staff.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to clearly communicate guests needs to other Team Members.
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Wear a staff polo, or golf branded apparel. Preference on eaglewood logo'd merchandise.

• Khaki or dress / golf pants, golf skirts or dresses, & golf joggers are acceptable bottoms.
• No cutoffs, basketball shorts, leggings or sweatpants are permitted.
• No t-shirts for pro-shop staff. If you are assigned a cart shift, you may wear the appropriate staff uniform for the cart attendant.
• Eaglewood or golf branded headwear is permitted.
• Golf branded hoodies, sweaters or other golf outerwear is also allowed.
• Minimum Age 18 with a valid driver's license.
• Ability to Stand 6-8 Hours
• A positive attitude while on the job is also essential.
• Working 2 days a week minimum, unless notice is given
• This includes during school and sporting seasons.
