This position will be based in the Houston Corporate Office and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.
PURPOSE
Assists the FP&A team in the monitoring of business performance, as well as the preparation of budgets and forecasts, leveraging data and technology to deliver business insights.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists in the preparation of detailed budgets and forecasts by gathering relevant data, developing comprehensive financial models, validating assumptions, and analyzing variances between actual and budgeted financial results
- Develops complex financial models in Excel to analyze data, forecast future performance, and aid strategic decision-making for Finance, Sales, and Operations teams
- Conducts in-depth financial analysis, including but not limited to financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, and trend analysis to identify key insights and trends
- Provides analytical support to optimize performance
- Tracks key performance indicators used to facilitate senior management decisions
- Researches variances to plan and summarizes trends to highlight insights supported by data
- Assists in the production of lender and financial partner reports
- Produces necessary information for business units to monitor the execution of business plans
- Performs other duties and participate on special projects, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years experience in financial analysis in Senior Living or similar industries
- MBA from a top-tier institution with a BA in Finance, Real Estate or related is a plus
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule as the business needs require which may include early mornings, late evenings or weekends
- Willing and able to travel 5-10% of the time with potential for out-of-area and overnight stays domestically.
