As a Senior Project Scheduler , you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project logistics schedules for major Oil and Gas projects in Alaska to ensure efficient resource allocation, timely completion, and successful project outcomes.

You will collaborate closely with project managers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to drive project scheduling excellence.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Schedule Development : Create and manage comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software (, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Excel), considering project scope, timelines, and resource availability.
  • Resource Allocation : Collaborate with project managers and department heads to allocate resources effectively, balancing workload and skillsets to meet project objectives.
  • Critical Path Analysis : Identify critical path activities and potential bottlenecks to proactively address project risks and delays.
  • Baseline and Progress Tracking : Establish project baselines and track progress against established schedules, reporting deviations and recommending corrective actions.
  • Schedule Optimization : Continuously evaluate and refine project schedules to improve efficiency and minimize resource conflicts, ensuring timely project completion.
  • Risk Assessment : Identify schedule-related risks and work with project teams to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Effectively communicate project schedules and updates to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Performance Analysis : Analyze historical project data to identify trends and areas for improvement in scheduling processes and performance.
  • Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date project schedules, reports, and documentation for audit and reference purposes.
  • Training and Mentoring : Provide guidance and support to junior schedulers and project teams on scheduling best practices and techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (, Project Management, Engineering, Business) or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling software (, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6) is a plus
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Project Management Scheduler (PMI-SP) certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Oil and Gas and / or Logistics Industry is preferred.
