Our ads data platform team works closely with our product managers and data analysts by building state-of-the-art streaming and batch data processing solutions.

The entire data pipeline supports both the TikTok ads platform and our internal business intelligence platform. In this role, you will see a direct link between your work and the company's business success.

You will have opportunities to deal with Petabyte-level data warehouse. Some of the world's most challenging technical and business problems are waiting for you to solve.

Responsibilities :

• Work with product managers and data analysts to design data-related products.
• Interface with engineers, product managers, and product analysts to understand data needs.
• Build data expertise and own data quality for allocated areas of ownership.
• Design, build, and launch new data extraction, transformation, and loading processes in production.
• Support existing streaming and batch systems in production, solving on-call issues.
• Define and manage SLA for all data sets in allocated areas of ownership.
• Work with data infrastructure to triage infra issues and drive to resolution.
• Support daily project management and assist junior engineers with business and technical problems.

Qualifications

• BS / BA in Technical Field, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
• 3+ years of experience in the data warehouse space.
• 3+ years of experience in custom ETL design, implementation, and maintenance.
• 2+ years of experience working with big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.).
• 2+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
• 3+ years of experience in writing SQL statements.
• Proficient in one of the programming languages (e.g., Python, Java).
• Communication skills including the ability to identify and communicate data-driven insights.
• Ability to manage and communicate data warehouse plans to internal clients.

For Pay Transparency

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $129,960 - $194,750 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.

Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses / incentives and restricted stock units.
