Department / Unit : ICU-Surgical And Neuroscience - B2
The Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (SICU and Neuro ICU) is seeking dedicated Critical Care Nurse I to provide specialized care to critically ill adult patients.
The unit has a focus on patients with life-threatening conditions related to major surgeries, trauma, brain and spinal injuries, stroke, and other critical conditions.
Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and procedures, and document treatment
- Assess patient needs and evaluate responses to care rendered
- Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients
Requirements :
- Graduate of a professional nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
