We are a nationally recognized public finance firm and have served as bond counsel, issuer's counsel, and disclosure counsel on a wide variety of public finance matters.
We have undertaken many complex and significant financing projects, including the acquisition and improvement of water systems, wastewater facilities, parking structures, airport improvements, convention center expansions, public golf courses, low- and moderate-income housing projects, redevelopment agency financings and land based financings.
Job Details
A minimum of eight (8) years of related experience is required, along with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and a current license to practice law in the state of California.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to effectively consult with clients and present legal arguments.
The ability to persuade and negotiate is crucial for successful representation of the company in legal proceedings. Strong time management and organizational skills are necessary to handle multiple cases and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail is paramount to ensure accuracy in drafting legal documents and maintaining case files. Proficiency in computer skills and competency with legal software and tools are vital for efficient legal research and document preparation.
A professional attitude, strong personal ethics, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of the legal profession are integral qualities for this role.
Candidates with administrative and managerial experience will be preferred, as these skills can contribute to effective case management and coordination within the legal team.

As a Senior Associate Attorney you will have the exciting opportunity to engage in a wide range of legal activities. You will consult with clients, providing them with expert guidance on legal best practices and offering invaluable legal support.
Your responsibilities will also include :
- Providing legal advice on the formation of community facilities districts, assessment districts, community services districts, municipal water districts, nonprofit corporations and similar legal financing vehicles
- Advising on constitutional and legal constraints on financings
- Advising clients on servicing as bond or financing counsel for general obligation bonds, certificates of participation, lease revenue bonds, special tax bonds, special assessment bonds, private activity bonds, industrial development bonds, revenue bonds, water and wastewater financing, and airport financings
- Researching and analyzing the law on complex issues and writing briefs for submission to a Supervising Attorney(s)
- Analyzing and summarizing complicated legal documents, including contracts, and suggesting alterations to those documents
- Performing discovery of various electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation
- Performing due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts and agreements
- Analyze probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents to reveal potential legal liabilities for our clients
- Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies
- Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases
- Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case
- Search for and examine public and other legal records to write opinions or identify complexities
- Confer with colleagues with specialties in appropriate areas of legal issue to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings
- Should maintain communication with a client concerning representation as needed under the discretion of the Supervising Attorney(s)
- Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Perform related duties as assigned
- Supervise Legal Secretaries and Paralegals as needed
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
