We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and business-savvy Privacy Counsel to join the Privacy Office within our Legal team.

In this role you will focus on global data protection and privacy-related matters and advise internal stakeholders on privacy areas of legal negotiations for software sales and procurement.

We are looking for someone who can provide legal advice and practical solutions.

As a Privacy Counsel in JFrog you will...

  • Advise on legal and regulatory aspects of global data protection and privacy, including GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and PIPEDA to further business initiatives.
  • Negotiate privacy contract terms and documents.
  • Provide advice across the business on a wide range of initiatives relating to data protection, privacy, incident response, and emerging technologies.
  • Develop, iterate, and train on playbooks, policies and training for the broader legal team and cross-functional stakeholders on areas within the privacy purview.
  • Monitor domestic and global data privacy and data protection regulations and develop updates to the privacy program.
  • Act as a key privacy interface to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist cross-functional team members with renewal certification processes such as SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27701, ISO 27001 and TISAX.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of the privacy program.
  • Support additional privacy initiatives as needed.

To be a Privacy Counsel in JFrog you need...

  • A JD and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
  • 5+ years experience in an in-house setting, including 3+ years relevant experience managing privacy matters at a technology company or working with technology clients (SaaS experience preferred).
  • CIPP US or E.
  • Experience thinking creatively about complex regulatory environments.
  • A sense of humor! We love privacy and love to have fun with our work.
  • Experience completing deep dives on proposed and existing privacy and privacy-related laws and regulations to develop internal compliance guidelines.
  • Experience advising on, and managing internal policies and procedures related to, privacy, data protection, data use, and privacy by design principles.
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, CCPA, LGPD, and other privacy laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience counseling business stakeholders on privacy laws with proven ability to exercise sound and pragmatic legal and business judgment and to assess and communicate risks in a clear and actionable fashion.
  • A strong sense of self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities and thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • A team player attitude with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with, and gain the confidence of, cross-functional colleagues, as part of a global team overseeing JFrog’s privacy compliance.

WHAT JFROG CAN OFFER

  • At JFrog, base salary is only one component of our compensation package.
  • This position has a base salary range between $210,000 to $230,000. Base salary will be based on your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
  • This position also includes an equity package of restricted stock units (RSU). In addition, JFrog employees are eligible to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

  • JFrog embraces hybrid work : 3 days in office / 2 days remote.
