About the Role :
Partner with the Designer to translate sketches into tech packs with detailed specs and grading. Collaborate with Technical Designer to follow existing block styles & core specs.
Manage fit process from prototype, SMS through customer approval (Fit, PP & TOP).
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop specs on new styles, use existing specs to develop new styles that need design changes and / or pattern adjustments
- Create new tech packs and sample requests on WFX, track and login in samples
- Organize assignments / projects daily based on priority for the design calendar, follow up with factories to stay on design calendar schedule
- Work as a team to hand-off SMS and prepare the collection to enter production stage
- Work closely with Technical Designer and Design team to advance technical knowledge and quality of product across all categories
- Manage & send out all client approval samples from FIT to TOP
- Monitor and maintain fit / construction / quality across all factories
- Measure samples, evaluate fit and construction, prepare for fitting & evaluation
Qualifications :
- 2 year college degree in Fashion Design or Technical Design
- 4+ years in Technical Design
- Product focus on soft woven large maxi dresses, skirts, bottoms and tops
- Experience in cut & sew knits and full fashioned knits
- Strong understanding of fit, balance, and pattern making skills
- Experience in PLM system, MS office (Excel / Word / Outlook), Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop
- Self-motivated, analytical, detail oriented, team player, very well organized
- Knowledgeable about fabric construction, fit corrections, pattern making, and grading
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage workload
- Excellent at communicating both verbal and written
