Insurance Coverage / Coverage Litigation Associate

Wilson Elser's Los Angeles office currently seeks an experienced Insurance Coverage / Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing insurance coverage group.

This is an excellent opportunity for lawyers with experience handling insurance coverage / coverage litigation matters to work with a collaborative group of experienced coverage / coverage litigation attorneys who handle cases in California and throughout the U.

S., working with domestic and foreign insurers.

The Position

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in the State of California
• 1+ years coverage / coverage litigation experience
• Experience in areas of insurance coverage including drafting coverage opinions in one or more insurance lines (CGL, property, professional liability, cyber, intellectual property, etc.)
• Experience in either or both third-party and first-party claims
• Coverage analysis and writing experience
• Superior analytical skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Work closely with other attorneys and Partners on insurance coverage / coverage litigation matters
• Investigate claims and draft coverage opinion letters
• In coverage litigation matters, draft pleadings, motions, and handle discovery
• Provide clients with insurance coverage advice on a variety of subjects
• Communicate with clients and draft reports to clients

The annualized salary range for this position is $110,000 to $160,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
