Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field and / or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 8 years of network and / or telecommunications engineering experience.
- Advanced knowledge (broad expertise or unique knowledge) of policies, practices, and systems.
- Strong systems level understanding for technologies across Information Technology (IT).
- Develops new applications based on professional principles and theories.
- Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts.
- Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
Areas of Proficiency : Switching
- Should possess a proficient understanding of most / all Layer 2 concepts and design.
- Proficient understanding of advanced interoperations between Layer 2 and Layer 3.
- In-depth understanding of intermediate switching hardware.
- Understand current industry standards and deployments of Layer 2 environments.
Routing
- Should have intermediate understanding of most Layer 3 routing protocols.
- Proficient understanding of advanced routing for OSPF and BGP.
- Proficient understanding of advanced multiple routing protocol interaction.
- Advanced design concepts.
- Advanced traffic manipulation knowledge.
- Cisco IOS XR experience / exposure is a plus.
Services
Should possess a proficient understanding of most / all Plan of Record configurations.
