About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Financial Officer to oversee and manage the financial operations in support of the Chief Financial Officer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all areas relating to financial accounting, including the development and maintenance of department-specific accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
This role involves providing tax, insurance, and other regulatory reports, as well as directing accounting operations and the preparation of financial forecasts.
The Deputy CFO will also be involved in the management of accounting staff, addressing tight deadlines, and a multitude of finance and accounting activities.
Applicants for the Deputy Chief Financial Officer position at The Company should have a minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in governmental accounting or finance, in addition to a degree in accounting, finance, public administration, or a related field.
The role requires a strong understanding of internal control procedures, management information systems, and both IFRS and US GAAP.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage the workflow of subordinates, prepare and analyze financial reports, and maintain efficient financial systems.
They should also be adept at problem-solving, have strong communication skills, and have the ability to work independently with confidential information.
Responsibilities also include supervising and mentoring staff, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships is essential.
