The Department of Political Science and International Relations in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California invites applications for two full-time, teaching faculty positions :
An instructor with expertise in Intelligence and Cyber Operations (INCO). While a Professor of the Practice is preferred, the position is open to the ranks of Assistant Professor (Teaching), Assistant Professor of the Practice, Associate Professor (Teaching), Associate Professor of the Practice, Professor (Teaching) and Professor of the Practice.
An Assistant Professor (Teaching), Associate Professor (Teaching), or Professor (Teaching) with expertise in one or more of the following areas : peace and conflict, including topics such as terrorism, genocide, and humanitarian interventions;
European security, foreign policy, and diplomacy; international finance; and Environmental politics, policy, or law.
Successful candidates would teach 5 undergraduate-level courses per year.
Qualifications : Successful candidates for the first position must have completed an advanced degree (PhD or JD preferred) in a relevant field and should have demonstrated subject matter expertise, with professional experience in the field preferred, and excellence in teaching.
Successful candidates for the second position must have completed a doctorate (PhD strongly preferred) and demonstrated excellence in teaching.
