Experienced CNC Lathe Operator
Primary Function :
Set up and operate finishing machines to manufacture gears from raw material.
Tools and Equipment :
Lifting equipment, hand tools, measuring tools, drills, taps, and Kronos barcoding system.
Supervision :
- Reports to the Department Supervisor.
- No direct supervision responsibilities; consults with group leader as needed.
Work Procedure :
- Complete operator verification sheets.
- Verify and document sizes and micro finishes for each part.
- Check for run-out to .001 or as specified.
- Inspect inserts and parts to ensure they meet print specifications.
- Have the first part inspected by the inspection department.
- Reject non-conforming parts according to guidelines.
- Follow grinding best practices.
