COMMERCIAL VEHICLE INSPECTION SPECIALIST

Job Description and Duties

Duties include, but are not limited to : perform inspections on commercial type vehicles to determine compliance with weight, size, registration, safety and equipment requirements, inspect and test all types of commercial vehicle brake systems for compliance with the Vehicle Code and other applicable laws and regulations, operate scales, detect overweight vehicles, weigh and obtain pertinent information.

Working Conditions

Cordelia CVEF is located on Interstate 80 near the city of Fairfield. I-80 is the major travel corridor between the Sacramento and San Francisco metropolitan areas.

The CVIS assigned to the position will work one of three (3) assigned shifts, 40 hours per week.

Special Requirements

The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application.
