POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for promptly handling inbound telephone calls as well as directing calls to the correct departments. This position will assist other department personnel as requested for other duties assigned.
- IN addition, this position is responsible for performing a wide variety of clerical and receptionist duties; Receiving and directing visitors and vendors into the office;
- Screening telephone calls and providing administrative information to main office personnel; Assisting with incoming or outgoing mail and interdepartmental mail distribution;
Performing miscellaneous support functions as assigned.
SCHEDULE
This position requires in-person work every Monday, Friday, and every other Wednesday.
The hours are 8 : 00am-5 : 30pm.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES
- Receives and screens telephone calls. Answers routine questions or directs them to the appropriate personnel or department.
- Performs various typing tasks including correspondence and miscellaneous documents.
- Receives, opens, and distributes mail daily.
- Organizes and maintains Administrative files.
- Monitors meeting room reservations and assists personnel with this function as necessary.
- Ensures that the lobby and receptionist work area is clean, secure, and well-maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Certification :
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Required Knowledge :
Basic understanding of business service functions.
Knowledge of related computer applications.
Experience Required :
One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
Prior experience in a financial environment helpful.
Skills / Abilities :
Strong typing abilities.
Excellent phone skills.
Great communication and public relations skills.
Well organized and attentive to detail.
Willing to cooperate and assist others.
Ability to use PC, printers, phones, and other basic business equipment.
