We are seeking a Project Director who has successfully delivered a major Airport Terminal, Baggage Handling Facility, or Cargo Terminal in the Gulf Region.
This Qatari contractor is expecting an imminent award worth 1.6 Billion QAR and has over 40 years of experience in the country, with a strong track record on high-value, complex, and challenging projects.
They have completed a variety of projects including :
- High-rise towers
- Research facilities
- Government projects
- Hotels
- Oil & Gas
- Industrial projects
- Aviation facilities
- Commercial and retail developments
Projects typically range from 300 Million QAR to 2.9 Billion QAR . It is important to note that they have successfully delivered larger projects in joint venture agreements both in and outside of Doha.
This contractor operates on a 6-day working week and possesses both subcontracting and self-delivery capabilities on major aspects of their projects.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the risks, challenges, and complexities of delivering such a significant aviation building.

Following qualifications are critical for the right application :
- Track record on major projects in the GCC for a tier 1 main contractor
- Clear experience within the aviation sector on building projects of this scale
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering / Construction Management from a Western university
- Mother tongue is English as the first language (requested by client)
- Client-facing skills, adept at handling meetings and multiple stakeholders
- 17 years of postgraduate experience is essential
