About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Technologist Job Specialty : CST 6210 - Operating Room (OR) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day - 4x8 - 7 am to 3 pm Guaranteed Hours : 32 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 3 years License : Required Certifications : BLS, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), UAP Must-Have : - Proficiency in either Orthopedic / Neuro or General / Robotics OR procedures - Experience with Open bellies GYN, Davinci Xi for general, Endo Job Description : - Work in a fast-paced operating room environment, assisting with surgeries across various specialties.
- Be adept with equipment and procedures related to common cases, including Peds-Geriatrics, cysto, Davinci XI for General / GYN / Urology, ION robotic cases, Open Bellies, and endoscopic / GI procedures.
- Work closely with a team that includes a charge nurse on all shifts and a manager available until 4 pm on weekdays.- Participate in a rotating schedule, including potential shifts outside typical hours and occasional weekend shifts.
- On-call requirements include coverage once or twice a week and rotating weekend plus holiday coverage.- Must be able to respond to calls within 15 minutes, with accommodations available for post-call reprieve.
- Complete 4-5 days of unit-specific orientation and 2 buddy call shifts for comprehensive onboarding.- Be flexible to float to other departments or cases as needed, including ortho cases or acting as a 1 : 1 sitter.
- Enjoy a supportive, family-like atmosphere within the department.- Utilize the EPIC charting system.- Be prepared for a role involving trauma level 2 care in an acute setting.
- Willingness to cover various shifts and calls, including possibilities for additional hours during low case volumes. This is a dynamic role offering a collaborative environment where proficiency and flexibility are key.
