Director of Tax
We are searching for a Tax Director to lead an organically growing team in the suburbs of Chicago, IL.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consult with clients on business processes, such as succession and tax planning.
- Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements for accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and train team members.
- Foster and build opportunities for clients, communities, and people.
- Perform a range of tax procedures, including the calculation of tax provisions, deferred taxes, and effective tax rates.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact.
- Review complex individual and corporate tax returns.
- Attend industry-leading events and trainings as necessary to stay updated on tax law changes and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA required.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in tax roles, with at least 8 years in a leadership or management position.
- Deep understanding of federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations, especially with tax planning, compliance, and accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify tax risks and opportunities and develop strategic solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a dedication to teamwork and collaboration.
- Proven leadership ability, with experience managing teams.
- High degree of integrity and ethical standards, with a commitment to upholding the highest levels of professionalism and compliance.
