PS Companies is seeking an experienced PCU RN for an opening based in Newburgh, IN. This is a full time 13 week travel contract position.
Float Requirement : First to float within skillset. Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY 11 miles).
2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
Minimum Experience REQUIRED : 3 years RN experience, 1 full year of stepdown experience, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
Charting Experience : Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
Patient Population : Cardiac (post cath stents / interventions, pacers), CIWA / BH, Sepsis, DKA, CVA, CPAP, feeding tubes, crani POD 2, GI bleeds, hypothermic / bear hugger.
Skillset :
REQUIRED- Tele / 12-lead EKG interpretation (travelers are required to pass a tele test), Initiate / titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, Heparin, Insulin, etc.
Post surgical assessment / care. NIHSS / Neuro assessments / dysphagia screen.
PREFFERED- Stable home vents, PleurX drain / pericardial drains, lumber drains, VP shunts, Narcan drips. Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!
Requirements include, but are not limited to :
Active IN or Compact License.
2+ years PCU experience
Travel experience
BLS (AHA) Certification
ACLS (AHA) Certification
NIH Certification
Ability to clear a drug screen / background check.
