In Casper, Wyoming, the District Attorney's Office has an immediate opening for an Assistant District Attorney. The position handles the prosecution of felony-level offenses, prepares court documents, argues motions before the trial court, conducts jury and bench trials, confers with investigative agencies, coordinates activities related to the prosecution of felony cases, collaborates with law enforcement, and supervises assigned staff as necessary.

Description And Functions

Open Until Filled. General Description : In Casper, Wyoming, the District Attorney's Office has an immediate opening for an Assistant District Attorney. The position handles the prosecution of felony-level offenses, prepares a variety of court documents, argues motions, conducts jury and bench trials, confers with investigative agencies, plans and coordinates activities related to felony prosecutions, coordinates case investigations with law enforcement, and checks or directs the work of the assigned legal assistant as necessary.

Candidates must currently be licensed to practice in Wyoming and be in good standing with the Wyoming State Bar and demonstrate a high level of initiative and responsibility.

Qualifications

Preferences : Seeking an attorney with 2–8 years of experience and familiarity with the Wyoming criminal justice system.

Education – Juris Doctorate

Experience – 2–8 years of relevant legal experience
