Thewagonbox is hiring : Event Planner in Sheridan

Responsibilities :

• Actively seek out and pitch the Wagon Box as a venue for local events, meetups, weddings, and private gatherings from Casper to Billings.
• Coordinate with the Lodging team to confirm availability of cabins, lodge rooms, tents, and other accommodations for event guests.
• Collaborate with the Restaurant team to arrange meals, catering, or special dining requests for events.
• Serve as the point of contact for event inquiries, bookings, and follow-ups with clients or community partners.
• Maintain an organized event calendar and communicate updates to relevant teams. Assist with on-site event setup, oversight, and troubleshooting as needed (on-site presence required).

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event planning, coordination, or a related field (wedding planning, hospitality, or community engagement experience a plus).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Proactive and creative mindset for identifying new event opportunities.Familiarity with the Story, Sheridan, or Buffalo area (or willingness to relocate) and an understanding of local community dynamics.
• Ability to work independently with some remote flexibility, paired with availability to be on-site as needed.
• Skilled in social media marketing and with event management tools.
• Passion for creating memorable guest experiences in a unique, rural setting.

Location & Work Arrangement

• Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate toStory, Wyoming, or the Sheridan / Buffalo area.
• This role offers a hybrid setup : some work can be done remotely, with access to a dedicated workspace at the Wagon Box restaurant for on-site tasks or meetings.
