Assistant Operations Manager - Higher Level Logistics

Position Purpose :

Higher Level Logistics is seeking a passionate, detail-oriented individual to join our operations team as the Assistant Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities : Team Leadership and Development : You’ll assist the Senior Operations Manager

• Build, grow, and lead high-performing teams.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Provide training, mentorship, and support to team members.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop, implement, and refine operational processes and procedures.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement
• Serve as a liaison for the driver to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members, senior management, and external partners.
• Prepare and present reports on operational performance and metric project progress.
• Identify and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
• Make data-driven decisions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Implement solutions that align with company goals and objectives.

Direct Manager / Direct Reports : Reports to the Senior Operations Manager

Travel Requirements :

This is a remote / hybrid position requiring the hire to work from home (phone and laptop provided) however you will be required to travel to our tractor yard located in the Atlanta area.

Ideal Candidate would reside within an hour radius of the Greater Atlanta Area).

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to move around the office or warehouse environment frequently.
• Capability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Occasionally lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to handle and move materials as needed.
• Use of hands and fingers to operate office equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
• Good vision to read documents, monitor screens, and inspect operations.
• Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in noisy environments and understand spoken instructions.
• Ability to speak clearly and effectively to convey information to team members and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in writing for reports, emails, and documentation.

Working Conditions :

The position calls for availability to drivers throughout the day and at times in the evening and night. While a remote / hybrid position, you are on call to help service the issues and needs that arise.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Operations Manager or related experience (2-5 years)
• Management experience (2+ years)

Preferred Qualifications :

• 5 years Operations Manager experience is strongly preferred.
• CDL, while not required, is strongly preferred.
• Experience in the Amazon Freight Partner preferred.
