Basic Function

The Senior Project Manager will organize and plan complex projects for the department, as well as take incoming Public Affairs requests from Aramco Americas and other U.

S. affiliates through our project tracker system. This role will also be concentrated with the events team and ideally has experience with event logistics, particularly trade shows and corporate events.

The Project Manager will work with the department’s internal teams to assign projects, tasks, budgets, and timelines to one or more team members.

The role will develop a project plan that thoroughly provides the team with scheduling deadlines and provide updates to the Supervisor on a periodic basis.

Additionally, liaise with each proponent to ensure a timely completion of each project / request.

Duties & Responsibilities

Creates project plans and identifies which team members and resources are needed to complete the project on time and within budget.

Clearly outlines the tasks involved and analyzes the resources needed. Implements change when necessary if the project scope changes, evaluates, and archive the project upon completion.

Communicates and collaborates with the Supervisor : estimates expected costs for the project; prepares and implement budgets;

and provide recommendations for mitigation of risks.

  • Coordinates assigned corporate events, trade shows, and marketing campaigns to enhance Aramco’s image.
  • Communicates and coordinates with external organizations, internal proponents, management, and stakeholders. Liaises with contractors that provide event-planning, design services, and exhibit services.
  • Addresses questions and / or concerns throughout the project.
  • Acts as a liaison between the company, customers, and vendors.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences or related field. Other degrees may be considered with appropriate related work experience.
  • 7-10 years of experience with community relations, design, volunteer programs, tradeshows and / or event coordination.
  • Understanding of the internal and external stakeholders and general public relations field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of business and international protocol and cultural sensitivities when assisting events.
  • Ability to work effectively with people within and across organizations, including Saudi Aramco counterparts.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, time management and organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate and balance multiple projects to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough understanding of, or the ability to, quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
  • Ability to show a track record of effective event coordination and present the company’s corporate image effectively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient in SharePoint and a project management software.
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and / or comparable project management certification highly desirable.
