THE OPPORTUNITY :
Our Neuromodulation business is a market leader in leveraging mobile, minimally-invasive implantable technologies to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders.
Our chronic pain solutions include the Eterna System, Proclaim XR SCS System, Proclaim DRG Neurostimulator, the only FDA approved DRG therapy, and the IonicRF Generator for Radiofrequency Ablation.
These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum. Our deep brain stimulation technology for progressive diseases help people manage their Parkinsons disease and essential tremor symptoms, steering away from side effects.
Our location in Plano, TX currently has an opportunity for a Project Engineer. The Project Engineer will remotely manage administratively small to medium scale projects, including, but not limited to utility / facility / infrastructure installations, office, lab, and clean room construction, manufacturing facility upgrades and warehouse expansions.
What Youll Work On
Assist in managing multiple projects concurrently.
Manage project financials, including maintaining budget and cash flow projections.
Assist in project scope, cost estimate, and RCE development.
Works closely construction teams to manage schedule, resources, scope, and adherence to internal and external standards and specifications.
Provide procurement activities including sourcing / qualifying suppliers & service providers, preparation for competitive bidding, adding new vendors to Abbotts procurement systems, processing purchase orders and invoices, tracking on-time deliveries, etc.
Provide coordination with project team and stake holders.
Provide communications of status and upcoming activities to project team, stakeholders, and management.
Complete project close-out activities, including financials, asset management, compiling turn-over documentation and maintenance manuals, etc.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelors Degree in engineering, or closely related discipline is required
3-5 years of engineering, construction and / or operational experience
Understanding and management of projects, procurement & contracting processes. Strong communicator and good team leader
Preferred Qualifications :
A technical background in health care, nutritional products, laboratory diagnostics, medical devices, pharmaceutical, or similar industries (strongly preferred)
