Job Summary :

Join our team as a Quality Operations Technician! Your primary responsibilities will be to ensure quality and operational compliance with customer and CP specifications.

You will oversee the quality, food safety, and esthetics of our products, following good manufacturing practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards, and product quality standards.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and identify critical control points (CCP) within the processes.
  • Ensure food safety and product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Document and file all relevant record logs and documentation correctly.
  • Ensure the correct recipe guidelines are met during processing.
  • Ensure employees follow all food safety and worker safety practices.
  • Educate employees on quality expectations.
  • Collect product samples for the Quality lab.
  • Perform in-process inspections to ensure quality and accuracy according to customer specifications.
  • Identify and correct non-conformances in real-time when feasible.
  • Collaborate with Operations on the presses, slitter, lamination, etc., to identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure paperwork is accurate and completed promptly on the production lines.
  • Comply with all company-wide standard operating procedures (SOPs) and any job or department-specific SOPs.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in printing, food, or a regulated industry with knowledge of cGMP’s (21CFR 110 / 111 / 210 / 211).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.

Additional Skills and Abilities :

  • Self-motivated with proven leadership skills.
  • Prior experience in a food environment is a plus.
  • Must work well in a team and have a positive can do attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Flexible availability for night and weekend shifts.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and adapt to changes in the work environment.

Physical Demands :

  • Regularly required to stand and walk for the duration of the production shift.
  • Infrequently required to sit; climb, balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Must occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.

Working Conditions :

  • Occasionally exposed to dust, airborne particles, loud noises, and ink fumes.
  • Loud work environment; ear protection is required.
  • Must wear all required personal protective equipment in production areas, including eye protection, steel-toe shoes, hair net, and hearing protection.
