Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will support the Accounts Receivable department's efforts by ensuring full compliance with policy, procedures, and the timely posting and documenting of payments received.

  • Ability to communicate with verbal and written proficiency
  • Post payments received from the branches
  • Submit credit card deposit data to the NYO
  • Transmit our remote deposits to BOA
  • Compile the collection sheets for checks
  • Scan in paid tickets to DocuXplorer
  • Answers accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up
  • Perform other activities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements, Abilities and Skills :

  • Associates degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance from an accredited university or college preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience.
  • Previous experience in credit & collections, and billing systems.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, organizational and reporting skills.
  • Industry experience preferred (i.e. Wholesale Distribution with foreign / domestic supplier mix).
  • Exceptional organization skills and ability to follow through on commitments.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service to internal as well as external customers
  • Ability to effectively manage tasks
  • Advanced Experience in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety
  • Securing and transferring cash or other assets.
