Job Title : Front Desk Receptionist
Reports to : Office Manager and Providers
JOB SUMMARY :
Under the general supervision, the Front Desk Receptionist is responsible to assist Providers and the Office Manager in support of delivering exceptional customer service to patients.
Day-to-day activities will vary from greeting and interacting with patients, answering phone calls, collecting intake information, all while executing our goal to provide top-notch patient care.
This person will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the waiting area and monitoring documenting supply levels.
Overall, the Front Desk Receptionist has a direct interaction with patients and an integral component in helping deliver excellent patient care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provides exemplary customer service, greet and treat all patients, visitors and coworkers with courtesy and discretion.
Communicates in a courteous, professional, cooperative and mature manner.
Answers telephone calls in a timely and polite manner; either responds to inquiry or directs the caller to appropriate personnel while entering appropriate clerical notation into our EMR.
Maintain and document accurately on patients record of care electronically
Enters confidential personal health information into computerized system with a high rate of accuracy
Scans all patient clinical encounter documents into EMR and labels appropriately per protocol.
Complies with federal and local laws in ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality.
Provide after visit follow-up phone calls to all patients, and relay any diagnostic testing results.
Ensures that equipment and supplies necessary to carry out patient care activities are available and usable and the environment is clean and organized
Perform other tasks as delegated by the Providers or Office Manager
Maintains cleanliness in waiting room
Ensures front desk area is fully stocked with appropriate supplies and forms

NATURE OF WORK
Job duties are routine in nature, but situations may vary occasionally, policy and procedure provide direction for solving non-routine situations.
Employees are expected to consult management for any situation for which precedent does not exist.
Job duties involve routine interaction with patients, including providing assistance and limited direction. Contacts are generally, cordial and non-confrontational

May be required to work and accept a flexible schedule to meet the demands and needs of the practice.
It is essential that our staff is able to fulfill a requirement to work weekends and equally shared operational holidays per company policy.
