Registered Nurse (RN) isresponsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care inaccordance with the developed care plan and physicians orders foreach individual patient while adhering to confidentiality standardsand professional boundaries at alltimes.
Essential Job Functions
Responsible for the delivery and coordination of quality patientcare in compliance with physician orders.
Continuouslyobserves and assesses patient condition and care needs and reportschanges in condition to the supervisor and / or physician asappropriate.
Documents all activities assessments nursingactions responses and coordination of care in a timely mannerwhenever care is delivered.
Develop implement and updatethe nursing care plan.
Takes appropriate nursing actionbased on assessment and achieves expected outcomes.
Recognizes changes in patient needs and responses requiringintervention and implements care to prevent risk or reducerisk.
Accepts responsibility for personal andprofessional accountability by complying with Aveanna policiesstate and federal regulations accrediting bodies and the NursePractice Act.
Provide care utilizing infection controlmeasures that protect both the staff and the patient according toOSHA standards.
Educates the patient and family regardingthe disease process selfcare techniques and prevention strategiesand in meeting the patients nursing needs.
Maintainknowledge of competencies related to the nursing profession byparticipating in educational programs continued education unitsinternal learning management skills and skillevaluations.
Requirements
Graduate ofan accredited Diploma Associate or Baccalaureate School ofNursing
Current unrestricted state license as aRegistered Nurse in the state of practice
Current CPRcertification
Demonstrated proficiency in clinicalassessments documentation and compliance with nursing care andpolicies and procedures
Additional statespecific requirements :
South Carolina One (1) year ofpediatrics experience
California One (1) year ofexperience required working under current nursing license
Louisiana One (1) year of experience required working as a licensednurse
Continuing Education as required bystate
Additional discipline specificrequirements :
Medical Oncology RN 2 years RegisteredNurse experience with cardiac monitoring and oncologyexperience
Ambulatory RN 2 years experience with vitalassessment plan of care development and telephone triage
Medical Surgical RN 2 years Registered Nurse experience
PeriOperative Care RN 2 years of Registered Nurse preferably withoncology experience
Preferences
Six(6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinicalcare setting
