Subject to Grant Funding? : Essential Job Functions : 1. Work with students in one-to-one sessions both face-to-face and on-line.
2. Discuss writing strategies with students. Offer assistance with planning, revising, and other writing-related concerns.
3. Assist students with research techniques, documentation, and mechanics.
4. Develop writing-related support materials.
5. Maintain familiarity with all existing Writing and Communication literature, website, and policies.
6. Participate in training sessions conducted by staff.
7. Conduct workshops for students and faculty.
8. Review and maintain student files.
10. Attend and participate in meetings.
11. Complete projects as assigned by office administration.
12. Check NSU e-mail frequently for staff communications. Marginal Job Functions : Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities : Reliable Strong interpersonal communication skills Ease in relating to people from varying educational, cultural, and social backgrounds.
Job Requirements : Master Degree. Experience tutoring and / or working with college-level students. Required Certifications / Licensures : Required Education : Masters Major (if required) : Required Experience : Preferred Qualifications : Is this a safety sensitive position?
