Responsibilities for Restaurant Server
- greet customers and seat them in the order in which they arrive
- familiarize customers with the menu and make appropriate suggestions when requested
- take customer orders and relay them accurately to relevant team members
- serve food and beverages
- clear, properly clean and set tables between uses
- collect payment from customers in a timely manner
- assist in training new employees as required
- anticipate guests' needs to facilitate and enjoyable dining experience
Qualifications for Restaurant Server
- 2+ years of experience fine dining in a similar restaurant or major city
- excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed customer expectations
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- good attitude toward teamwork
- strong work ethic, with a willingness to take initiative
- confident, outgoing demeanor
- flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends
- ability to be mobile for a minimum of 4 hours, bend, stoop, and life a moderate weight
- be of legal age to serve alcohol
- knowledge of California & Italian wines a plus but not required.
