About The Position

Job Title : Interventional Radiology Technologist

Profession : IR Technologist

Specialty : Interventional Radiology

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 8H Days

Hours per Shift : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years in Interventional Radiology

License : ARRT

Certifications : BLS

Must-Have :

• Must be an IR Technologist.
• Willingness to float to perform duties in the OR-Rad when needed.

Description :

Provides high-quality images through the operation of specialized equipment.

Ensures optimum clarity for physician diagnosis while minimizing discomfort and radiation exposure to patients.

Thoroughly understands the operation of interventional equipment and supplies.

Possesses knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including film / imaging processing, quality control, and radiation protection.

Experience with procedures such as mesenteric angiograms, cerebral angiograms, embolizations, carotid stenting, aneurysm repair, stroke interventions, port-a-caths, nephrostomy tubes, gallbladder drains, vertebroplasty, epidurals, transjugular liver biopsies, Y-90 s, IVC filters, and pleural drains.

Utilizes equipment including EPIC EMR, Acudose medication dispensing unit, Siemens Biplane, Philips Biplane, and GE single plane.

Neuro Interventional background preferred.

May work alone and will be on-call for nights and weekends.

No floating to other units or departments required.

The unit includes 2 biplane IR suites and 1 single plane IR suite.

Dress code is hospital-provided scrubs.

Orientation and training program is 1-2 weeks, depending on experience.
