Our client is seeking a mid-level associate with 2-4 years of business litigation experience to join the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group in their Los Angeles office.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling complex business litigation in both state and federal courts.
Responsibilities :
- Manage written and document discovery
- Research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court filings
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Prepare witnesses for testimony
- Appear at status conferences and argue motions
- Participate in settlement conferences and negotiations
- Assist with trial preparation
Requirements :
- 2-4 years of business litigation experience
- Significant experience with complex business litigation in state and federal courts
- AmLaw 100 experience preferred
- J.D. from an ABA-approved law school
- Active member in good standing with the California Bar
- Expertise in managing written and document discovery
- Proficiency in researching and drafting pleadings, motions, and court filings
- Experience conducting and defending depositions
- Ability to prepare witnesses for testimony
- Competence in appearing at status conferences and arguing motions
- Experience with settlement conferences, negotiations, and trial preparation
- Well-rounded, dynamic, and highly motivated with strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
