Minimum Qualifications Open Competitive : A bachelor's or higher-level degree including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science.
A bachelor's or higher-level degree in any field and one year of experience in information technology; or 60 semester credit hours including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science and one year of professional experience in information technology.
Two years of professional experience in information technology.
Transfer : Open to NYS employees with one year of permanent competitive service as an Information Technology Specialist 2 or Information Technology Specialist 2 Programming, G-18;
OR in a title G-16 or above deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description Under the direction of Information Technology Specialist 3, within the Chief Technology Office, Business Application Services, Economic Development, Housing Government portfolio.
The position will function as a cross functional team member in a group responsible for the ongoing support and development of Division of the Budget’s primary budget management application.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to :
- Functioning as part of the group responsible for the development and support of a complex business application spanning multiple technologies and complex business processes, both on-prem and cloud based, including but not limited to Oracle Enterprise Performance Management, Groovy, VBA, Essebase, Pl / SQL, PowerShell.
- Gaining expertise and understanding of all involved technologies and utilizing the technologies to develop EPM Business Rules, ETL scripts, database queries, and other functions as needed.
- Designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining Oracle EPM solutions, ensuring they align with business requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to implement required solutions in the platform.
- Developing and maintaining documentation related to all solutions maintained within the unit.
