Gresham Hunt are delighted to be exclusively supporting an elite, vertically integrated, owner-operator Real Estate Private Equity firm, specializing within multifamily as they search for a Director to join their Asset Management team.
This position is to be based in NYC.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of a portfolio of distressed real estate assets
- Develop and implement comprehensive asset management plans to optimize performance and maximize value
- Analyze financial performance, forecasts and budgets, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Lead the turnaround of distressed assets, including property renovations, leasing, and tenant management
- Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize operational efficiency
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with the asset portfolio, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk
- Perform effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative working environment
Requirements
- 7-12 years of experience in Real Estate Multifamily Asset Management, open to an equity or credit asset management background
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Proficiency in using ARGUS, Excel, CoStar, and other relevant software to create financial models and conduct market analysis for distressed assets
- Must have asset turn around experience - financing, property management, renovations and overall successful track record leveraging portfolio of assets
- Strong financial acumen in key areas; Expense optimization, Refinancing, Setting rent rates, Tracking budgets, Leveraging assets, Understanding market comps, Data management, Financial reporting, CapEx and Development construction / operations knowledge
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including equity & credit Investments, legal, design, and construction
- Residing in or willing to relocate to New York City
