Up to $20,000 Sign-On bonus for experienced Registered Nurse / RN
Summary
The Cardiovascular RN as part of an integrated lab (Cardiac / EP & IR) plans, delivers and evaluates nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of the Director and / or designee.
Functions as a team leader and facilitator providing communications with other health team members. The nurse closely monitors the patient for complications, administers medications including moderate sedation, documents the procedure, and also may circulate or scrub into procedures.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and / or family and provides patient / family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action while working in a critical care environment.
Will take call for emergent procedures with on-call arrival time requirement of 30min. Understands and follows hospital policy and procedures.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications
Licenses, Certifications and / or Registrations :
- Licensed Registered Nurse, State of Florida
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification within 3 months of hire
Minimum Experience
- Minimum Experience At least one year of nursing in the critical care setting (ie. ICU, ED, Trauma).
- Prefer three years critical care experience.
- Prefer prior experience in procedural areas (. Cath / IR / EP / Neuro).

The RN provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided.
Assumes responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime. Administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
Performs and fulfills all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and / or disaster.
Responsible for knowing the Hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.
Education :
Required : Graduated from a state approved school of nursing or an accredited school.
Preferred : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing
Experience :
Preferred : Recent acute care experience.
Certifications :
Required : Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy;
CPR. AHA BLS, and if applicable by corporate policy for unit of hire, AHA ACLS and / or PALS and / or NRP.
