You will have mathematical and statistical expertise, along with natural curiosity and a creative mind.

While mining, interpreting, and cleaning our data, you will be relied on to ask questions, connect the dots, and uncover hidden opportunities for realizing the data’s full potential.

As part of a team of specialists, the data scientist will slice and dice data using various methods and create new visions for the future.

Responsibilities :

  • Choose the data science tools and platforms as the foundation of our Data Science practice.
  • Report to the CTO with great autonomy to explore, contribute and work with an amazing and growing engineering team.
  • Collaborate with product design and engineering teams to understand needs and develop data products.
  • Identify and integrate new datasets, and work with engineering to develop data products.
  • Research and create innovative statistical models for data analysis.
  • Communicate findings and insights to all stakeholders through reports, presentations, and technical documents.
  • Identify opportunities for product improvements and user engagement.
  • Enable smarter business processes by utilizing analytics for meaningful insights.
  • Assist in design and execution analytical product experiments.
  • Analyze data for trends and patterns, and interpret results using statistical techniques.
  • Design, build, test, and implement models from diverse datasets for problem-solving within the company.
  • Mentor and coach team members, and promote continuous improvement of tools and processes used in data science activities.

Qualifications / Competencies / Skills :

  • Five or more years of experience in data science.
  • Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis.
  • Advanced experience in pattern recognition and predictive modeling.
  • Experience with data warehouse providers such as BigQuery / Redshift / Snowflake, transformation tools like DBT and programming languages (SQL, Python, R, etc), BI tools such as Metabase / Looker / Tableau.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, research-oriented group that has several concurrent projects.
  • Masters / PhD (or equivalent experience) in statistics, applied mathematics, or related discipline.

Compensation Range : $115K - $175K
