Job Details
MDH is seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel X-Ray Technologist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in general imaging and a strong background in computed tomography (CT).
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, performing a variety of imaging studies and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Job Requirements
- Education : Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
- Certification : Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensed by the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety.
- CPR : Current BLS / CPR certification required.
- Experience : Must have CT experience; basic general imaging skills are essential.
- Technology Proficiency : Familiarity with Merge-PACS, Cerner / HIS, and RIS systems.
- Equipment Knowledge : Experience with GE, Phillips, Carestream, and Siemens radiology equipment preferred.
- Flexibility : Willingness to float between inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients as needed.
Schedule Information
- Shifts : First shift from 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with weekend and holiday requirements.
- M-F (1 : 30-10P) and EOW
Unit Specific Information
- Dress Code : Ciel blue tops and black bottoms (scrubs are provided).
- Key Responsibilities : Perform a wide range of general imaging exams, including X-rays and CT scans, in accordance with established protocols.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and support throughout the process.
- Maintain and operate radiology equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and adherence to safety standards.
- Document imaging results accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) and utilize the Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) for image storage and retrieval.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to discuss imaging findings and ensure the best patient outcomes.
- Participate in department orientation and maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
