Seeking : Long-Term Care Director of Nursing Services in Albany County, NY.
Long-Term Care facility is seeking an experienced, dynamic Director of Nursing to lead and supervise our Nursing Department.
Position Overview : The Director of Nursing is responsible and accountable for the nursing care received by our residents and the morale of the nursing team!
Position Duties :
- Management responsibilities including maintaining exceptional quality of care
- Directing the nursing program, including implementing new policies and procedures when necessary
- Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff
- Ensure the nursing department is compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Meet the nursing needs of all residents
- Coordinate and direct care planning for nursing services
- Maintain and disseminate knowledge of general nursing theory and practice
- Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical records
- Assist with interviewing, hiring and orienting of new nursing staff
- Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs
Position Requirements :
- Current New York State RN license required
- Minimum of 3-years experience in Long-Term Care settings
- Staff training with clinical staff
- A high level of professionalism, communication skills, and compassionate leadership required
- Evidence of advanced leadership and supervision skills required
