As the Full Stack Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership, including the design, development and delivery of business technology-enabled applications and shared services.

This role drives proficiency within teams, provides resolution to technical issues, assures best practices are followed, and assists management in meeting strategic initiatives while contributing to smooth business operations.

What you'll do on a typical day :

  • Design, develop, and maintain Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and supporting software Understand the functionality and configuration of the WMS
  • Provide in-depth technical web application programming expertise that meets technical specifications and business requirements
  • Design and develop highly scalable production level code using Microsoft technology stack and emerging open-source technologies
  • Design and development of custom user interface libraries and frameworks that provide uniform user experience across various enterprise applications
  • Design and development of responsive user interfaces for multi-device web and mobile apps.
  • Analyze business problems and propose software solutions, mentor junior programmers in the department
  • Provide estimates and create functional specifications and detailed design specifications for programs to be developed;

convert system designs and technical specifications into program code for complex applications

  • Develop, test and maintain complex application software; comply with project standards and processes related to producing quality software products and documentation, and provide project management for moderately sized, complex efforts
  • Monitor software releases to production in a controlled, methodical manner and verify systems are stable after patching

What you need to succeed at GXO :

At a minimum, you'll need :

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related technical field, or certification in software engineering from ACM or IEEE or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 1 years of relevant software development experience including creating business applications and within a fast-paced Enterprise software development environment
  • Experience working with, and enhancing, Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Development (CD) environments
  • Hands on full stack development experience using C#, .NET Core, AngularJS, SQL & No SQL databases (Oracle and Elastic preferred)

It'd be great if you also have :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or substantial relevant experience
  • 5 years of experience in IT solutions development with strong knowledge of the IT software development life cycle in a Fortune 500 company
  • Microsoft certification or course work (MCSE / MCITP / SCCM)
  • Experience in engineering end point solutions and enterprise rollout of solutions
  • General understanding of UX design principles and patterns
  • Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and typescript programming
  • Solid understanding and experience with Angular or other modern JS frameworks like React, Vue
  • Experience UI development consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with unit test frameworks (Karma, Jasmine) and familiarity with TDD
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and proficiency with version tools like Git, TFS and SVN
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
  • Experience with automation / configuration management (infrastructure as code) tools
  • Experience in logistics and / or transportation management and business analysis
  • Experience with Oracle PL / SQL
