Sr. Buyer
Location : San Jose, California, United States Job Summary :
Super Micro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Buyer who is energetic and detail-oriented to support our fast growing organization.
This position will be a member of the dynamic Purchasing team in the companys headquarters located in San Jose, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
The responsibilities will include, but not limited to :
Board level components Global Supply Management including material management, supply chain management, price negotiation and pass down price to Asia CM
Support and work with engineering team / PM on the new product development(NPI) including design in support and materials planning
Daily interface with engineering, production, vendors, & contract manufacturers for open objectives
Understand core materials / value and negotiate competitive quotation based on product specification
Monitor US / Asia CM planning and work with supplier / distributor and CM for planning & inventory management
Support production team to align vendors / FAE / PE / RMA resources for any quality issue
Long lead time & unique components management
Monitor EOL / PCN / PDN to manage product life at data base and support LTB / LTB management / control
All of above not limited to but as assigned
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business major background preferred
- Minimum of 8 years materials management, procurement and supply chain experience preferred
- Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Skilled in coordinating and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Able to function in a very fast paced environment and can adapt to changes quickly
- Extremely detail-oriented and self-driven
