Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial machinery maintenance and repair, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for customer service.
The Field Service Technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of industrial machinery at customer sites.
This role requires extensive travel and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment at customer sites.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues with machinery.
- Collaborate with customers to provide technical support, training, and guidance on equipment usage and maintenance.
- Maintain detailed service records, including work performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
- Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies to minimize equipment downtime.
- Provide feedback to the engineering team on recurring issues and suggest improvements to enhance equipment reliability.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies while on-site.
- Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies needed for service tasks.
- Travel to various customer locations as required, sometimes on short notice.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electrical engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar role within the industrial machinery sector.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays, as required.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, work in various environments, and stand for extended periods.
