General Manager
GM Opportunity
Location : Greater Toledo Area, OH
Scope : Oversight of two manufacturing sites
Compensation : $150,000-$175,000, 15% bonus, 4 weeks PTO
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic GM to oversee the operations of two manufacturing sites in the Greater Toledo Area. Reporting directly to the President of the division, this role requires a leader with strong business acumen, a proven track record in managing cross-functional teams, and in-depth knowledge of the plastics industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the operations of two manufacturing sites, ensuring efficient and effective plant operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including General Management, Finance, HR, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service to align operational goals with company objectives.
- Drive cross-training initiatives to create a versatile workforce capable of supporting various functions within the plant.
- Oversee project management initiatives, including the expansion of production capabilities and the consolidation of extrusion equipment.
- Play an active role in strategic planning and execution to scale the company’s revenue, including involvement in mergers and acquisitions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, including ISO 9001 : 2015, and uphold the company’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
- Plastics Industry Experience : There is a strong preference for candidates with a background in plastics manufacturing, but candidates with relevant manufacturing leadership experience will also be considered.
- Cross-functional expertise : Demonstrated strength in finance, sales, leadership, and organizational development.
- Educational Background : A bachelor's degree is required to bring fresh perspectives and methodologies to complement the team’s expertise.
- Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Business Acumen : Strong understanding of business operations, strategic planning, and project management, with experience in scaling operations.
- M&A Experience : Previous involvement in mergers and acquisitions is highly desirable.
