Overview :
The Cloud Solutions Architect plays a critical role in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet the organization's needs for scalability, security, and reliability.
They work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the architecture aligns with business objectives and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Designing and implementing highly scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Developing cloud architecture and roadmaps that align with business goals
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to development teams
- Evaluating and recommending cloud technologies, services, and vendors
- Ensuring compliance with security and privacy regulations
- Optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency
- Implementing and managing cloud automation and orchestration
- Leading proof of concept initiatives to demonstrate the feasibility of proposed solutions
- Participating in technical reviews and audits
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of cloud architecture best practices
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting expertise
- Developing and maintaining documentation related to cloud solutions
- Participating in capacity planning and disaster recovery exercises
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect or similar role
- Expertise in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture design principles
- Experience with serverless computing and microservices architecture
- Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance requirements in cloud environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert) preferred
