Job Description :
- Patient Population : Adults to Geriatrics
- Medical Surgical ICU experience with conditions like Sepsis / Severe Sepsis / Septic Shock, Respiratory Failure / Pulmonary Diseases, S / P Cardiac Arrest, GI Bleed / Hemorrhagic Shock, DKA, Acute Kidney Disease, Complicated Surgery Cases (Perforations), Pulmonary Edema, Pulmonary Embolus, Drug Overdose, Hypoglycemia and Hyperglycemia, Hypertensive Emergencies, Cardiac Arrhythmias, Rhabdomyolysis, Metabolic Encephalopathy, and Malignant Neoplasms.
- Proficiency in CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) and TTM (Targeted Temperature Management).
- Experience with procedures such as Chest Tubes, Bronchoscopies, Lumbar Punctures, I&Ds, Central Line Insertion Assistance, and Central Line and Arterial Line Maintenance.
- Must be proficient in Peritoneal Dialysis, Continuous Bladder Irrigations, and Continuous IV Infusions (pressors, paralytics, sedatives, cardiac).
- Must be familiar with unit systems such as Epic and Pyxis and utilize SBAR effectively for communication.
- Maintain a 1 : 2 3 patient-to-nurse ratio with a 15-bed unit, 13 rooms, and an average daily census of 12.
- Required to wear navy blue scrubs.
- RTO (Request for Time Off) : Maximum of 7 days.
- Work every other weekend unless otherwise specified, with potential floating to other units.
- Holiday obligations : If assigned during major holidays, required to work specified holidays as per guidelines. Major holidays include New Year's Eve and Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
- Full compliance required to start on time. Non-compliance may lead to a start delay due to the orientation schedule.
- Flu Vaccine Required - Medical / Religious exemptions accepted only.
