Program Manager

Responsibilities

Membership and Client Services

• Provide assistance to members by responding accurately to all inquiries regarding policy and procedures for membership, applications, renewal billing, publications, continuing education products / credits and meeting registration, new membership sales, etc.
• Oversee member programs and services, ensuring timely completion of tasks by self and team.
• Design and maintain online information systems, including membership databases and event registration software.

Committee Management

• Serve as the staff liaison to committees, guiding them to achieve objectives that support the association’s mission.
• Oversee committee initiatives, manage timelines and responsibilities, and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Educational and Certification Programming

Oversee educational programming, including certification programming and continuing education approval where applicable, to ensure that the educational offerings are of the highest standards and quality and meet member and potential member needs.

Event Support

• Proactively lead and ensure member and client support at virtual and in-person events in addition to supporting teammates with tasks like minute-taking and event logistics.
• Create agendas and content for membership and client-related events, including webinars, board meetings, and educational conferences.

Budget and Vendor Management

• Responsible for making sound decisions that are within client scope.
• Serve as primary contact and manage overall relationship with key client vendors.
• Develop and distribute RFPs for services as needed. Oversee the vendor contract process from initial implementation through to invoice payment.
• Other duties may be assigned that are required for this position.

Position Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, event management, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.

A CMP or CAE professional is a plus.

• 3 5 years of association or association management experience is highly valued.
• Strong critical and analytical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve complex problems effectively.
• Skillful in adapting communication style to fit the setting and individuals involved, achieving desired outcomes.
• Knowledgeable in customer databases, learning management systems, project management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Maintain a professional demeanor with strong skills in customer service, organization, attention to detail, and prioritizing responsibilities effectively.
• Demonstrate personal integrity in all interactions and communications with Bostrom staff and clients.
• Perform effectively under pressure, managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while maintaining composure in challenging situations.
• Collaborate efficiently across departments and with clients, offering assistance and sharing information as needed.
• Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, ensuring successful interactions with others.
• Exhibit accountability and self-motivation, embracing new responsibilities and challenges with a positive, can-do attitude.
