Best Point is seeking an individual that provides overall supervision and coordination of the Agency’s Food Service. Prepares and serves menus by following standardized recipes, preparation and service methods established by the Nutrition and Culinary Manager and by performing the following duties.
Minimum Education, Experience and Other Skill Requirements :
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Serve Safe or Person in Charge Certification. Experience in a commercial food service operation including but not limited to supervising staff, menu planning, ordering and inventory.
Must be able to use quantity food service equipment including, but not limited to, dishwashers, slicers, mixers, steamers, convection ovens, etc.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations that may arise. Ability to maintain composure under stressful conditions.
Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community. Ability to use computers where applicable.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
Work Environment :
Exposed to a combination of office, school, cafeteria and kitchen environments. Possible elevated temperatures in the kitchen.
Regularly exposed to kitchen equipment as well as hot and / or boiling liquids. Exposed to children with behavior problems.
May be exposed to shouting and clients who may be verbally and physically aggressive. May be exposed to blood, vomit and bodily fluids.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to :
sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 40 pounds; requires the ability to stand for long periods of time; requires ability to push carts weighing up to 100 pounds;
to operate a motor vehicle safely in changing weather conditions required.
Additional Working Conditions :
- Occasional operation of vehicle to and from place of employment during inclement weather conditions.
- Extreme hot and cold environments.
- Possible transfer of product in personal or agency vehicle, or driving to meetings in personal vehicle.
- Requirement to lift, carry, push and pull various items up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
