This position provides physical assistance to passengers requiring aid getting in and out of wheelchairs. You will be required to safely transport passengers to their destination making sure passengers are as comfortable as possible.
You will help the passengers with their baggage. It is important to examine wheelchairs daily for needed repairs and maintenance.
Assist airlines and passengers at ticket counter to handle luggage. May be assigned to incoming baggage area. Places luggage on or removes luggage from conveyor belt.
May transport passenger luggage through additional means such as carts or hand trucks.
Hourly starting wage : $19.28 / hour
- Must have valid guard card
- Shifts are between 3 : 30PM-7 : 30PM

Responsibilities :
- Assists passengers with their luggage at the ticket counter. Places luggage on conveyor belts to assist ticketing agent in preparation for screening of luggage.
- Handles oversized luggage.
- Transport oversized luggage to appropriate conveyor belt or pick up area.
- Removes incoming, oversized luggage from conveyor belt.
- Assist passengers with oversized luggage handling.
- Reports any required maintenance or needed repairs to Manager.
- Follow all safety rules.
- Observes and reports any unsafe or hazardous conditions immediately to their manager or proper authority.
- May be requested to perform other duties as assigned based on Manager's needs or airline activity.
- Uses proper body mechanics while performing duties.
- Remain alert and aware of the surroundings.
- Demonstrates ability to work with others and interact appropriately.
- Able to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods.
- Possess empathetic abilities in dealing with passengers and their needs.
- Maintains communication with other agents and managers.
- Relates information regarding events or situations that may affect operations.
Working Conditions :
- May be exposed to high levels of noise or variations in weather and temperature.
- Ability to stand, walk and sit for long periods of time.
- Must be flexible to work scheduled and / or non-scheduled hours as required.
Qualifications :
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be a US citizen or a Permanent Resident with 5 years US Residency.
- Must obtain a SIDA Badge
- High school diploma or GED
