Physician Assistant
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Physician Assistant (PA), provides and coordinates direct patient care. The PA provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative healthcare service, as delegated by a physician.
The PA will report to Supervisor / Manager for all employee / employer issues regarding departmental and organizational operations.
The PA consistently demonstrates the core values of Enloe Medical Center and serves as a role model to other employees. In addition to working in the clinic, the PA may be required to work in the hospital, on an as needed basis.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE :
Minimum :
- Graduate of a PA educational program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission (ARC) on Education for Physician Assistants (or its predecessor agency) OR current certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Two years’ experience working in Cardiology Services
Desired :
Recent experience appropriate to the clinical area where practice will occur.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS :
- Current California Physician Assistant License
- Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA), if not a graduate from an accredited ARC Physician Assistant educational program
- Current AHA-HCP CPR recognition
- Current ACLS recognition
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application
- Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff Office and Finance Office
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES :
Must have the confidence and experience to work independently with diverse patient populations and experience in accessing specialty referrals and community resources.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Must have the ability to lead, motivate, delegate, analyze information and problem solve.

Nurse Practitioner
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Nurse Practitioner (NP), under the direction of the Medical Director and the onsite Supervising Physician provides and coordinates direct patient.
The NP provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative healthcare service, as delegated by a physician. The NP will report to the Clinic Supervisor for all employee / employer issues regarding departmental and organizational operations.
The NP consistently demonstrates the core values of Enloe Medical Center and serves as a role model to other employees. In addition to working in the clinic, the NP may be required to work in the hospital, on an as needed basis.

Clinical experience in Cardiology
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS :
Minimum :
- Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Furnisher with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner within 8 months of hire (department tracking)
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application
- Current CPR (BLS)
- Meets Centers for MediCal and Medicaid Services (CMS) criteria to bill Medicare
- Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff office and Finance office
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES :
Must have the confidence and experience to work independently with diverse patient populations and experience in accessing specialty referrals and community resources.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis.
