A company is looking for a DRG (Coding) Reviewer / Auditor.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and review inpatient claims to validate ICD-10-CM / PCS codes for accurate DRG assignment
Perform comprehensive initial reviews as per standard operating procedures and departmental guides
Collaborate with physician reviewers and attend departmental meetings and training as required
Required Qualifications
Coding Certification required (CCS, CIC, or RHIT)
College-level courses in medical terminology, anatomy, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and medical coding
At least 3 years of experience in MS-DRG and APR-DRG validation in acute care inpatient coding
Working knowledge of industry-based standards and compliance guidelines
Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and other applications
