PositionOverview :
ProBonoNetwork is seeking a Director of Development. The position willhave primary responsibility for creating and implementing thedevelopment plan for the Pro Bono Network with an annual budget of$370000.
WhatYou Will Be ResponsibleFor :
Directingthe annual fundraising calendar and engaging staff and board inimplementation while tracking and reporting on results.
Taking alead role in revising the fundraising calendar for subsequentyears.
- OverseeingDevelopment department staff volunteers and interns. (PBN currentlydoesn’t have additional development staff but has plansto hire a parttime Development Associate before the end of2024.
- ManagingPro Bono Network’s individual donor relationshipsincluding donor prospect research cultivation solicitation andstewardship.
- Handlingroutine donor communications templates acknowledgments andresponding toinquiries.
- Planningand executing fundraising events (annual large event for 100250people plus smaller events). This responsibility includes obtainingsponsors coordinating with vendors organizing registration staffingany boardrelated planning committees and managingentertainment / programming.
- Facilitatingthe Annual Appeal includes collaborating with Program andCommunications staff organizing the physical printing and letterassembly and ensuring coordinated social media and emailcommunication.
- Creatingand implementing a grant plan in coordination with ED in alignmentwith the Strategic Plan; writing and submitting grant applications(in collaboration with program staff and ED);
and managing allcurrent grant reportingrequirements.
- Leadingthe initiative to expand Pro Bono Network’s CorporateGiving Program with support from the ED the board and the AdvisoryCouncil.
- Leadingthe creation of strategy and messaging and building relationshipswith potential corporatepartners.
- Collaboratingsignificantly with the Communications Manager to ensure consistentand clearmessaging.
- MaintainingPBN’s donor database (Little Green Light) and producingdonor reports as needed.
- Creatingdevelopment / fundraising status reports for the Executive DirectorandBoard.
- Supportingboard engagement with development activities and providingfundraising training for the Board and AdvisoryCouncil.
- Activelyparticipate in weekly staffmeetings.
- Serveas staff liaison to the board’s Development Committeeworking closely with the Committeechair.
- Attendboard meetings periodically to provide development updates andsupport board engagement with developmentactivities.
- Attendorganizationwideevents.
- Performother general responsibilities of the office when needed in thesame manner as all currentstaff.

- ProvenSuccess in Fundraising : Demonstrated success for atleast 3 years in designing and implementing fundraising strategiescultivating and soliciting individual and institutional donorssuccessfully winning grants and meeting fundraisinggoals.
- CommunicationSkills : Excellent verbal and written communicationskills to effectively convey Pro Bono Network's missionengage with donors build relationships write inspiring grantapplications and craft compelling fundraisingappeals.
- EventPlanning and Management : Ability to plan execute andevaluate fundraising events such as galas auctions and campaigns tomaximize donor engagement and revenuegeneration.
- Proficiencyin Donor Database Management : Experience withmanaging donor databases CRM systems or fundraising software totrack donor interactions segment donor lists generate reports andanalyze donor data for strategic fundraisingpurposes.
- Commitmentto Ethical Fundraising Practices : Adherence toethical fundraising standards including transparency donorconfidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations andlaws.

CompensationBenefits and JobStructure :
Thisis a 40hourperweek fulltime hybrid employee position with an idealstart date of July 8 2024. The annual salary will be $65000$75000.
Benefits include PTO and access to an optional retirement plan. Theposition will be hybrid requiring 2 days in office per week.
Occasional evening and weekend hours will berequired.
